RACE ANNOUNCEMENT - NYMFEA TRAIL RACES 8KM

RodopiRunners organizes the NYMFEA TRAIL RACES - 8KM on Sunday, November 16, 2025 στις 10:30 π.μ.

The race has a total distance of 7.8 km with a positive elevation gain of 350 meters, starting and finishing at the Nimfea Tourist Kiosk.

Course DescriptionThe race follows a circular route:
The 7.8 km race follows a circular route as follows: Tourist Pavilion of Nymfaia → 1.2 km dirt road → 4.1 km trail → 200 m dirt road (at 5.5 km is the Aid Station) → 1.7 km mountain trail → 300 m asphalt to the finish at the Tourist Pavilion of Nymfaia.

The race is open to all runners over the age of 18. Runners over 16 years of age can participate by having a declaration of their guardian.

Registrations will take place only electronically through the official page of the RodopiRunners Health Runners Club www.rodopirunners.gr And then through the “RACEID” application and only by using a bank card. A registration is considered valid only after the payment stage, while participants will also be informed with a personal message via email from the application.

The registration opening date is set for 10September 2025.

The registration fee is set at 12€.

Each runner will receive their race packet, which will include their unique race number with timing chip (Bib) and the official race technical T-shirt.

The race package will be available for pickup at a location and date that will be announced later. It will also be possible to collect it in a designated area before the start of the race.

There will be one (1) aid station with water, cola-type soft drinks, and fruit at the 5.5 km mark.

AwardsThe top three men and women in the overall category, as well as the top three men and women in the 50+ age category, will be awarded.

Time Limit:The duration of the race is set at three (3) hours. After this time limit, all remaining runners must follow the organizers’ instructions and withdraw from the race.

First Aid Services: During the race, first aid will be provided by the Hellenic Red Cross, Komotini regional branch.

Bag Drop / Personal Belongings: At the starting point, there will be a designated area for runners to leave their personal belongings. The organizers are not responsible for any damage, theft, or loss of personal items.

All runners are required to wear their race bib at all times during the race in a clearly visible location.

Each runner fully acknowledges the risks involved in participating in the race and takes full responsibility for their physical condition and ability to participate. The organizers bear no responsibility in case of injury, damage, or any other harm.

All runners with their participation grant to us the irrevocable right to use their data and photos for statistical data, advertising or future use.

All participating runners have knowledge and acceptance of all of the above.

The starting point is approached from Komotini through the Nimfea Forest and has nothing to do with the village of Nimfea. To get to the starting point, follow the asphalt road that goes up from Komotini to Nimfea Forest.
