RodopiRunners organizes the NYMFEA TRAIL RACES 40KM on Sunday, November 16, 2025 at 08:00 o'clock
The race has a total distance of 40 km. with a positive altitude of 2,050 meters, starting and ending at the Nimfea Tourist Kiosk "Château Nouveau". Nimfea Tourist Kiosk.
The race follow the curcular route: Nimfea Tourist Kiosk -1η The race follows the circular route: Nimfea Tourist Kiosk - 1st wellspring - Church of St. George - Pyramid 24 (Greek-Bulgarian border) - Pyramid 22 (Greek-Bulgarian border) - Dragati Military Outpost - Altitude 784 m "Lithari" - Watering trough - Cannon - Altitude 564 m and return to finish at the Nimfea Tourist Kiosk "Château Nouveau".
The race is part of the ITRA race series, offering 2 points. Participants who are interested in their ranking in ITRA are kindly requested to enter their name during registration using Latin characters, exactly as it appears on the ITRA lists.
The race is open to all runners over the age of 18. Runners over 16 years of age can participate by having a declaration of their guardian.
Participation requires that athletes have completed a mountain running half marathon within the last two years.
Registrations will take place only electronically through the official page of the RodopiRunners Health Runners Club www.rodopirunners.gr And then through the “RACEID” application and only by using a bank card. A registration is considered valid only after the payment stage, while participants will also be informed with a personal message via email from the application.
The registration opening date is set for 10September 2025.
The registration fee is set at 35€.
Each runner will receive their race package, which will include their unique bib number with the timing chip and the official technical race T-shirt.
The race package will be available for pickup at a location and date that will be announced later. It will also be possible to collect it in a designated area before the start of the race.
There will be five (5) supply stations with water, isotonic drinks, gels and fruits at 8,5 – 17 – 23 – 30 - 35 km.
The top three men and the top three women in the overall category, as well as the top three men and women in the 50+ age category, will be awarded.
All runners must wear their race number visibly throughout the race. In order for the finish time and intermediate times to be recorded for the official results, all runners must carry their timing chip for the entire duration of the race and pass over all timing mats at the checkpoints.
All runners must pass the final checkpoint (35 km) within 7.5 hours from the race start time. The total race duration is set at nine (9) hoursAfter the time limit has passed, all runners must follow the organizers’ instructions and stop their race.
First aid services during the race will be provided by the the Red Cross, Komotini branch. All athletes are advised to carry an elastic bandage and a thermal (aluminum) blanket with them.
At the start area, there will be a designated space for storing runners’ personal belongings. The organizers bear no responsibility for damage, theft, loss, or any other issues concerning personal items.
Each runner fully acknowledges the risks involved in participating in the race and takes full responsibility for their physical and medical condition, as well as their ability to participate. The organizers bear no responsibility in case of injury, damage, or any other harm.
All runners with their participation grant to us the irrevocable right to use their data and photos for statistical data, advertising or future use.
All participating runners have knowledge and acceptance of all of the above.
The starting point is approached from Komotini through the Nimfea Forest and has nothing to do with the village of Nimfea. To get to the starting point, follow the asphalt road that goes up from Komotini to Nimfea Forest.
